The Garden Gate
Spotted this on a quick tour through the Historic District in Wilmington, NC this past weekend. The pop of red berries caught my eye.
Did you know Wilmington has one of the largest historic districts, for a town its size, in the United States? Comprising about 300 blocks, it’s one of my favorite places to visit. On this morning, the girls (Emily and Alex) and I were on a mission to find the areas most haunted house. It’s located in this general vicinity and hopefully, I’ll get a chance to tell you about in the next couple of days. Stay tuned.
Shot with my 10-22m wide angle lens, ISO400 (whoops, must have forgot to change this, should have been set at ISO200) f3.5. Processed with “Grungy BW” action from Nicole Van, reducing the opacity to let some of the color through. Also used two textures from Kim Klassen. View Large.

I love this shot… it reminds me of The Secret Garden
